Confirmation off rumors popping up earlier in the week regarding Swiss winger Steven Zuber came early on Friday afternoon. Zuber's current Budnesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt announced that loa club AEK Athens had pulled the trigger on the purchase option for the 30-year-old attacker.

Zuber departs the Bundesliga after an eight-year-career in German football that dates back to the 2014/15 season with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The Swiss national team starter scored 14 league goals in 129 appearances for Frankfurt, Hoffenheim, and VfB Stuttgart.

At present, there is no conflicting information to suggest that the €2 million purchase option is inaccurate in any way. Zuber's new contract for the Greek Super League club runs through 2025.
