Didavi scored 24 goals in a total of 113 top flight appearances with the Swabians. He also added sic tallies during Stuttgart's most recent year (2019/20) in the 2. Bundesliga. He played just 10 games, starting two, this season. In a released statement, VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat emphasized that the club "did not come to the decision easily."
"Dida came to VfB as a young boy and is now leaving as a person who has given a lot to the club," Mislintat noted, " Personally, I have maximum respect for 'Dida' as a footballer will miss his personality too. He's a prime example of how one can work their way up from the youth ranks."
"I can still remember well how I started as a youth player at VfB and then accomplished the dream of making it as a professional," Didavi is quoted as saying. "Now a new chapter begins for me, but I will always carry VfB in my heart."
