Stuttgart updates:
New details on Mavropanos and Ito deals surface, Didavi and Thommy headed for exit

In Stuttgart transfer market news, new details have emerged about the purchase agreements that will see defenders Konstantinos Mavropanos and Hiroki Ito join the club permanently.

Meanwhile, German footballing magazine Kicker reports that Sven Mislintat and the administrative team will make no attempts to renew the expiring contracts of either Daniel Didavi or Erik Thommy.

It has long been known that VfB Stuttgart built a dual purchase clause into the renewed loan agreement that saw Arsenal's Konstantinos Mavropanos remain in Swabia for a second season. Germany's main sporting tabloid now reports that, irrespective of whether or not the club remains in the league, the amount due to the Gunners should total €3 million.

In reporting on this detail, Sport Bild also notes that the purchase clause pulled in January to make Japanese defender Hiroki Ito a permanent member of the club totals approximately €400,000. While the combined sum wouldn't seem terribly large in the context of one of the league's larger clubs, it does constitute a significant on-the-hook amount for a club with as large a roster (and payroll) of the BaWü capital city side.

It is such that, according to the tabloid, no efforts will be made by the club's front office to renew the expiring contracts of the two players set to have their deals run out at the end of the season, Both Daniel Didavi and Erik Thommy are apparently headed for the exit. The pair of club veterans--both of whom have seen their market value plummet by over €3 million in the past two years--will be available on frees for those teams willing to take a chance.

As reported earlier this weekend, there remains virtually no chance that a player who has seen his market value increase by over €3 million over the last two years will remain a member of Pellegrino Matarazzo's squad. Egyptian attacker Omar Marmoush is due back in Wolfsburg at the end of the current campaign.
