Moukoko on his World Cup call-up: "I just can't believe it!"

Youssoufa Moukoko "can't believe" that he has been included in Germany's squad for the World Cup.
Borussia Dortmund teenage striker Youssoufa Moukoko is overwhelmed by the fact that he is going with the German national team to the World Cup in Qatar.

After earning his first senior national team call-up, the 17-year-old forward stated on Instagram:

"I just can't believe it. At this point last year, I felt like I was out of the picture, struggling with many injuries and little playing time. Still, I tried to stay positive and believe in myself. I knew what I could achieve, and the fact that I'm going to the World Cup, a goal that players dream about their whole career, makes me incredibly proud. All the hard work has paid off and I'm just incredibly happy and overwhelmed.

"I would like to say a special thank you to my family, Edin Terzic, Sebastian Geppert, the entire Borussia Dortmund coaching team and my agent Patrick Williams - thank you for believing in me so much. Thank you also to my teammates and the fans of Borussia Dortmund and everyone who has supported and accompanied me for years. I love you."

Moukoko has scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 58 games for Borussia Dortmund's senior team.
