Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has lauded praise on Borussia Dortmund after the club's excellent first half of the season.

After a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen on Saturday, Borussia Dortmund are now nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, and Klopp is very impressed by the development of the club he coached between 2008 and 2015.

"The fresh and lively picture at the BVB today couldn't be more positive," Klopp said in an interview with Kicker and added:

"The combination of the strength of the club, the power of the stadium, the quality of the coach, the power of the team and the clever decisions from the bosses has ensured that the BVB are where they are now."

"The development at Dortmund is going 100 percent in the right direction," Klopp said.

Klopp left Dortmund after the 2014/15 season and took over as Liverpool manager in October 2015.
