3 Fantasy Bundesliga investments you could make for matchday 17

Here are our Fantasy Bundesliga picks for matchday 17.
Kerem Demirbay (Hoffenheim), midfielder - 12.3M
We initially recommended bringing in Joelinton, but as Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann has ruled out the Brazilian with an injury, we switch our focus to another Hoffenheim player - Kerem Demirbay. We have previously recommended investing in the central midfielder who is one of Hoffenheim's most instrumental players, pulling the strings in midfield. Demirbay may just have scored once this season until now, but he definitely offers a goal threat nevertheless. In addition to that, he takes most of his side's set pieces. Hoffenheim are huge favourites to beat a Mainz team, who have conceded six goals in their last two games, and we believe Demirbay looks like a solid investment.

Timo Werner (RB Leipzig), striker - 16.3M
RB Leipzig are extremely strong at home - and so is Timo Werner. The German international has scored a brace in each of his team's last two home games, and another double could be on the cards for the striker when Werder Bremen visit the Red Bull Arena this weekend. Werder have struggled recently and have just won one of their last eight Bundesliga games - conceding at least once in each of them. That should give Werner a good chance of shining once again - and you'd be wise to capitalise on that.

Florent Muslija (Hannover 96), midfielder - 2.4M
Struggling Hannover 96 will round of the year with a vital match against relegation rivals Fortuna Düsseldorf. Hannover haven't won since the 2-1 win over Wolfsburg in November, but showed heart and passion in the 1-1 draw with Freiburg in midweek - a game that could have gone both ways. Meanwhile, Düsseldorf took an impressive win against Dortmund, but will face a very different task this time around.

Hannover coach André Breitenreiter gave summer signing Florent Muslija a chance in the line-up against Freiburg. The 20-year-old, who scored a wonderful free-kick earlier in the season, showed what he can do in glimpses and had three attempts on goal while he made two passes to a shot. With Muslija likely to start again, he could be worth giving a shot in your team - especially because he costs just 2.4M.
