Tottenham are understood to be investigating the possibility of bringing Edmond Tapsoba to England.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have contacted both Bayer Leverkusen and Tapsoba's representatives to inquire about a possible move.

While nothing is advanced at this stage, the centre-back is "keen" on a move to the English Premier League side, according to Romano.

In an exclusive interview with Bulinews.com in February, Tapsoba commented on the reported interest from England.

"That makes me happy, of course," he told Bulinews.com.

"It’s something that shows I’m doing a good job and that I just need to continue. But Leverkusen is a big club, my head and heart are fully here right now, and then we'll see what the next step will be."
