Marcel Halstenberg is looking to leave RB Leipzig this summer, according to a report from Bild.

The 31-year-old left-back has informed the club and his entourage of his desire to leave, the report states.

Sky Germany reports that the 31-year-old could imagine a return to Hannover 96, where he started his career.

Whether the 2. Bundesliga side can afford him, however, is questionable.

Halstenberg has one year left on his contract with RB Leipzig.
