Bayern set to intensify interest in Mamardashvili, Romano reports

Fabrizio Romano claims that Bayern Munich are planning to open concrete talks to sign Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Bayern Munich are set to increase their interest in Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili in the near future, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian transfer market insider reports that the Bavarians are expected to open concrete talks for the 22-year-old in the next few days.

The German goalkeeper, who has made 63 appearances for Valencia, is said to be keen on a move to Bayern.

Manuel Neuer should be fully fit for the start of the new season after missing the second half of the 2022/23 campaign with a broken leg.

It's unclear what the future holds for Yann Sommer, who was brought in as Neuer's short-term replacement.
