Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has faced his fair share of criticism this season, with former Germany internationals Lothar Matthaus and Dietmar Hamann among those who have regularly questioned the German champions' performances.

Speaking to Sky Germany after Bayern's 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund, Tuchel let off steam and responded to the criticism he has faced in the media.

"Why did we win today? Despite the cracks in the team and the lack of development? Lothar [Matthäus] definitely knows. If not him, then certainly Didi [Hamann]. I'm very happy with my team, everything was great," said Tuchel.

"It was a top match, we put in a top performance. I'm happy for the team. We created a lot of chances to score and deserved to win here.

"We did a lot of things well today, it can't be as bad as what has been written (in the media). Today we won 4-0, now you (journalists) have to do a 180. Have fun. You can do your job now, but without me," Tuchel fumed and left the interview early.
