DFL bans Pedersen until mid-March for horror foul
The DFL has handed a three-game suspension to Augsburg's Mads Pedersen.
FC Augsburg defender Mads Pedersen has been handed a three-match suspension after seeing red in his team's 1-0 loss to Mainz on Saturday, the German Football League announced.
The Dane committed a brutal foul on Leandro Barreiro in stoppage time and was shown a straight red card.
Both the player and the club have accepted the DFL's decision.
This means that Pedersen won't be able to play for Augsburg until the game against Wolfsburg on March 16th.
