Hannover 96 coach Thomas Doll found it hard to find words after his team lost 1-5 in today's important relegation scrap against VfB Stuttgart at Mercedes-Benz Arena.

"I've been in the business for a long time. But I've never seen such a performance. It's hard to find words. What we delivered here had nothing to do with the Bundesliga," Doll told Bild.

The result means that 17th-placed Hannover are now five points behind Stuttgart who are sitting 16th.

"The table doesn't look so good. But the worst thing is our performance," Doll said.

Doll, who was hired to replace André Breitenreiter at the end of January, has managed to get just three points out of his first five games as the coach of Hannover 96.
