Völler on Nagelsmann: "He has received a lot of inquiries"

Rudi Völler has revealed that Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has received "a lot of requests" for his services.
German Football Association sporting director Rudi Völler is keen to keep Julian Nagelsmann as Germany coach beyond the European Championship, but admits there is plenty of competition for his signature.

Asked by Sky Germany if Nagelsmann could imagine staying on as Germany coach, Völler said:

"Yes, of course. He has received a lot of inquiries, but of course he knows that we have a good team which can achieve something in the next few years."

Völler added:

"Coaching a national team is something very special. This is the most important team we have in Germany. You could see that during the two international matches, when that euphoria came up. I think he likes that. That is important to know.

"In the end we will talk about it calmly. Of course he knows that we want to continue with him," Völler said.

Bayern Munich are reportedly among the clubs interested in Nagelsmann.
