Nuri Sahin has revealed that Waldemar Anton and youngster Filippo Mane are the only confirmed absentees for Borussia Dortmund's trip to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.
"Filippo Mane and Waldemar Anton are definitely out. Karim Adeyemi has been partially integrated. Julian Brandt is back in training and we expect him to be involved tomorrow. ‘Donny’ Malen and Julian Ryerson have been a little bit ill, but we expect them to be fine," the BVB head coach told reporters at a press conference on Thursday.
On Anton's injury, Sahin added:
“He will miss the games against Gladbach and Barcelona. It's bitter for him. We'll see after that.”
Anton's absence will leave Niklas Süle and Emre Can in contention to start at the heart of defence alongside Nico Schlotterbeck. At Thursday's press conference, Sahini refused to reveal which of them he plans to start.
Dortmund go into Saturday's game in fifth place in the Bundesliga.
