Confirmed: Marco Rose named new Gladbach coach

Borussia Mönchengladbach have appointed Marco Rose their new head coach.
Marco Rose will leave Red Bull Salzburg to take over the position as Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach this summer, the Bundesliga club have announced.

The 42-year-old succeeds Dieter Hecking who will leave 'Die Fohlen' at the end of this season.

"Marco Rose has done an excellent job in Salzburg for the past six years, and we're delighted that he will be with us from the coming season," Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl told the club's website.

Rose worked as a youth coach for Red Bull Salzburg from 2013 until 2017 when he was appointed coach of the first team.

In his first season as the head coach of Red Bull Salzburg, he won the Austrian championship and reached the final of the Austrian cup.

At the moment, Rose's team are top of the table while they have reached the Austrian cup final once again.
