Hoffenheim have announced the signing of FC Augsburg's Konstantinos Stafylidis who will join the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The Greek left-back has put pen to paper on a contract with Hoffenheim that runs until 2023.

"I'm very happy about the transfer, and I'm eager to prove myself in this great environment. I want to reach my personal top level here like so many players in the past, and I assure that I will put all my heart in it on the pitch to do so," Stafylidis said, as quoted by Hoffenheim.

At Hoffenheim, Stafylidis is expected to replace Nico Schulz who has been heavily linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund.
