RB Leipzig's new signing Hannes Wolf will be out for months after he suffered a horrific ankle break in Austria's 2-0 win over Serbia at the European Under-21 Championship on Monday.

Wolf had to be substituted during the second half after a foul by Serbia's Vukasin Jovanovic who was shown a straight red card for the tackle.

The Austrian Football Association has since confirmed that the 20-year-old has broken his ankle.

Wolf will complete his €12 million move to RB Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg on July 1.
