BVB chief: We will do much better in Munich than last season

"We will do much better on Saturday than we did last season," says BVB chief Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke is confident that his players will show a much better performance in Saturday's game against Bayern München than they did when they last visited Allianz Arena.

BVB lost their most recent game in Munich by 5-0 back in April, and Watzke expects to see a much better performance from his players this time around.

"I think the team know this year that it's a very important game for Bayern, so maybe they'll approach the game with a little less naivety compared to last year," Watzke told Sky and added:

"We will do much better on Saturday than we did last season. What happened back then was a real slap in the face, and that shouldn't happen to us again in the further development of the team."

Dortmund haven't beaten Bayern at Allianz Arena since April 2017.
