Robert Lewandowski netted twice and Bayern München took a deserved 4-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Allianz Arena.

Bayern, who beat Olympiacos 2-0 on Wednesday, have now won both their games under Hansi Flick who took over the position as coach on an interim basis after Niko Kovac was relieved of his duties last week.

Dortmund started out well, but Bayern quickly took over the initiative and dominated the rest of the game.

Lewandowski sent Bayern ahead after 16 minutes when he directed a header into the net after a cross from Benjamin Pavard.

Serge Gnabry doubled the lead shortly after the break, rounding off a swift counter-attack after Thomas Müller squared the ball across goal.

Towards the end of the game, Lewandowski netted for the second time before Bayern made it 4-0 through an own goal from Mats Hummels.

The win sees Bayern move up to third place - two points ahead of fifth-placed Dortmund.
