Emil Forsberg 'proud' to see RB Leipzig reach the last 16 for the first time

Emil Forsberg was 'proud' to see RB Leipzig reach the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time.
Emil Forsberg was ecstatic after RB Leipzig sealed a place in the round of 16 in the Champions League for the first time with a 2-2 draw against Benfica on Wednesday.

"Reaching the knockout stages for the first time in the club's history means that we're doing the right things and moving in the right direction," Forsberg, who scored both his side's goals against Benfica, told UEFA.com and added:

"We have a fantastic team with a lot of young players who have a lot of potential, want to listen and want to get better. That's why we're a team on the up. I'm just so proud. I'm feeling good again, I'm finally fit again and I'm just back to enjoying my football."

RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann said some of his players made a 'lifelong dream' dream come true on Wednesday.

"We're deservedly through to the next round. It feels amazing. Some of the guys are fulfilling a lifelong dream, especially the ones who played for RBL in the second and third tiers. Now we want to make sure we finish top of the group," Nagelsmann said in an interview won the club's website.
