Daichi Kamada: 'Now I finally want to score in the Bundesliga too'

Daichi Kamada eyes his first league goal after his magnificent hat-trick in the Europa League on Thursday.
Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada has targeted his first Bundesliga goal after bagging a hat-trick in his team's 4-1 win over RB Salzburg in the Europa League on Thursday.

The 23-year-old has been in excellent form in the Europa League, scoring six goals in seven games for Frankfurt this season. But for some reason, he just can't seem to get the ball over the line when he plays in the league.

"I'm pleased with the three goals, but the fact that I've helped the team pleases me most. Everyone played really well and put in a really good performance. Now I finally want to score in the Bundesliga too," Kamada said, as quoted by the club.

Apparently, Kamada has no problem hitting the back of the net in training.

"Kamada tends to score more goals in training than he does in matches! He did incredibly well for the second goal and it was a great assist for the third. We showed today what we're capable of when we get going," said Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.

Frankfurt take on Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Monday.
