Bayern Munich finished 2025 strongly, with Der Rekordmeister securing a 4-0 win on the road against Heidenheim, keeping their unbeaten Bundesliga run intact.

Defender Josip Stanisic provided a well-rounded display once again, providing an assist and scoring his second goal in three weeks following his strike against Stuttgart earlier this month.

The Croatian was keen to shift the focus away from himself, though, instead pointing at the collective.

“It doesn't matter whether I score or Harry [Kane] scores three,” said Stanisic, as reported by Kicker. “The most important thing is that we win.”

Stanisic did, though, admit he had been waiting for another moment in front of goal as he continues to build momentum after an early-season knee injury that sidelined him for several weeks.

“I wanted to get back into rhythm and regain confidence in my knee,” he explained. “That was important for me.”

Stanisic would cap off his performance by providing the assist for Luis Diaz's goal, rounding off an impressive night in which he filled in at right-back for the suspended Konrad Laimer.

Bayern's latest victory means that Vincent Kompany's side sit nine points ahead of Borussia Dortmund in second. Looking ahead, Stanisic said: “It's in our own hands."

“We are FC Bayern Munich. We always want to win titles. If we keep going like this, only we can stop ourselves.”
