Leroy Sané would only consider joining Bayern in Germany, says his agent
Leroy Sané's agent has confirmed that his client could see himself joining Bayern München.
Bayern München are the only club in Germany that Leroy Sané would be interested in joining this summer, says Damir Smoljan, the managing director of the Manchester City winger's new agency, LIAN Sports.
"FC Bayern are the only club in Germany, where Leroy can imagine taking the next step in his career. There, he sees the prerequisites to achieve his great goal of winning the Champions League," Smoljan told Sport Bild.
According to Sport Bild, Sané wants to take the next step in his career this summer, and it appears he has other suitors than Bayern.
"Together with [Sané], we will be discussing with Manchester City what the next step could look like. It's no secret that FC Bayern have a fundamental interest in him. But other top clubs throughout Europe have already contacted us about Leroy," said Smoljan.
It has been claimed that the Bayern bosses have doubts about the mentality of Sané, but Smoljan says he has been assured that is not true.
"I find it amazing how you can question Leroy's character or mentality. You do him wrong for no reason. But I have been assured that nobody at FC Bayern does so," he said.
Sané's contract with Manchester City runs until 2021.
