Karim Bellarabi: 'I can well imagine staying here longer'

Karim Bellarabi says he could 'well imagine' signing a contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen.
Karim Bellarabi has expressed interest in extending his current deal with Bayer Leverkusen, which runs until 2021.

According to Kicker, the 30-year-old has attracted interest from England, but it seems he's keen on staying put.

"Right now, other things are more important than my contract. I've been here for almost 10 years and appreciate what I have in Leverkusen. I'm sure we'll have talks soon. I can well imagine staying here longer," the winger told Sport Bild.

Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler recently said that the club would like to extend Bellarabi's contract.

Bellarabi has five goals and nine assists in 32 games for Leverkusen this season.
