Bayern München coach Hansi Flick had a 30-minute phone call with Manchester City winger Leroy Sané a few weeks ago, according to Sport Bild.

Sané has been identified as a top transfer target by Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, whom many believe was talking about the 24-year-old on Sunday when he said that he wants to 'bring an international star to Munich'.

Flick, on the other hand, has doubted whether Sané would be the right fit for the reigning German champions, but has become more open to the idea of bringing the winger back to Germany.

According to a previous report from Sport Bild, the Bayern coach isn't fundamentally against signing Sané as long as the transfer makes financial sense from Bayern's perspective.

The 24-year-old's contract with Manchester City expires in 2021, and he is widely expected to leave the club this summer.
