Dani Olmo stole the show at Prezero-Arena on Friday, scoring both goals in RB Leipzig's 2-0 victory over Hoffenheim.

The Spaniard has played on the wing since the return of the Bundesliga, but was moved to a central position for Friday's game, and RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann was happy to see the position change pay off.

"Before the game, we said that it's important that he plays as a number 10. That is his natural and favorite position," Nagelsmann said at the post-match press conference and added:

"We wanted him to be more of a goal threat than in the past few weeks, when he had to do a lot of defensive work. He did well there, but wasn't in front of goal as much as we would like him to."

Nagelsmann is pleased with how Olmo has developed since his winter move from Dinamo Zagreb and believes the midfielder has the right mentality to go far.

"He is doing better and better. He's a great talent and a top guy, who wants to learn. He has the necessary modesty, but also the ambition and confidence needed," Nagelsmann said and continued:

"He isn't afraid to open his mouth and say that he wants to be given a chance to play. I like that. He has the necessary cheekiness, but also the necessary humility to develop. He will be a player for the future for us."

Olmo has scored four goals in 10 games for RB Leipzig so far.
