Raffael to leave Gladbach

Borussia Mönchengladbach will be parting company with Raffael at the end of the season.
After spending the last seven years at Borussia Mönchengladbach, Raffael will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old is out of contract this summer and will not be offered a new deal by the club.

"We have decided not to extend Raffael's contract," Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl confirmed on Thursday.

"He has been a key player at the club and deserves a proper send-off with the fans. It was a sporting decision but the talks were open and friendly. We part ways on very good terms," he added.

Raffael has made a total of 200 appearances for Gladbach with 71 goals and 35 assists to his name.
