Lukas Klostermann is a natural right-back, but has been utilized as a centre-back by RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann while Ibrahima Konaté and Willi Orban have been sidelined with long-term injuries.

With Benjamin Henrichs having joined RB Leipzig on loan from AS Monaco to add competition on the right-hand side of defence, Klostermann could continue in central defence.

"I'm actually preparing for that. I know the position by now, and I don't see any huge differences. For me personally, it's not bad if I can play different positions. I'm quite open to anything," Klostermann told Kicker.

In May, the 24-year-old signed a new deal, which will keep him at Red Bull Arena until 2024.
