Germany are among the candidates to win the Euros, claims Niklas Süle
Niklas Süle says Germany are among the contenders to win Euro 2021.
Niklas Süle believes Germany are capable of going all the way at next year's European Championship.
The centre-back has just won the treble with Bayern München and senses a similar hunger for success within the national team.
"We can definitely compete for the trophy with this team. We have the same hunger as FC Bayern," Süle said at a press conference ahead of Germany's UEFA Nations League encounter with Spain on Thursday.
"Spain will provide incredibly tough opposition on Thursday. I think it will be a fierce contest. We miss the fans a lot, but you have to try and make the best of the situation as a player," he said on Germany's upcoming opponent.
The 24-year-old is delighted to be back in the national team set-up for the first time since he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in October.
"It wasn't an easy time for me. I really missed being out on the pitch with the boys because we have such a great bunch of players," said the centre-back.
