Adi Hütter hasn't exactly had the best start to life as an Eintracht Frankfurt coach. Last weekend, his side was defeated 5-0 by Bayern München in the Supercup, and today defending champions Frankfurt were eliminated from the DFB-Pokal after losing 1-2 to SSV Ulm - a team that plays in the Regionalliga Südwest, the fourth tier of the German football league system.

SSV Ulm brought themselves ahead in the beginning of the second half, and when the 2-0 goal was scored with 15 minutes left, the sensation was luring. Goncalo Paciencia got a goal back for Frankfurt in the 90th minute, but it was too late for 'Die Adler' who now only have the Bundesliga and the Europa League left to focus on.

Eintracht Frankfurt were crowned winners of last season's DFB-Pokal after beating Bayern München 3-1 in the final.

Elsewhere, SV Drochtersen/Assel from the Regionalliga Nord put up a good fight against Bayern München who had to wait until the 82th minute before Robert Lewandowski secured a 1-0 win.

Wolfsburg, Hoffenheim, Nürnberg and Werder Bremen are all through to the next round after winning their matches this afternoon.
