Manuel Neuer believes Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng could all help the German national team.

The experienced trio have been left out of the squad since March 2019 when Germany coach Joachim Löw informed them that they would no longer be part of his plans.

But Neuer points out that since none of them have announced their retirement from the national team, the chance remains that they could still get to represent their country.

"All three players could help us in principle, they have proven that often enough in the past. And none of the three, neither Thomas nor Mats nor Jerome, have ended their Germany careers," Neuer told Sport Bild.

"Of course it's a public issue, but let's just wait and see how things develop. Basically, it's the decision of the national team coach," added the Germany captain.
