Official: Werder boss Frank Baumann extends contract
Werder Bremen have agreed on a contract extension with sporting director Frank Baumann.
Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann has extended his contract, which was due to expire in the summer.
"We are convinced of Frank Baumann's work and now have planning security in this important position. With him, we want to tackle and master the challenges that lie ahead of us in terms of sport and corona," said supervisory board chairman Marco Bode in a statement.
Baumann – a former Werder player, who has worked for the club since January 2010 – commented:
"I've always said how much I enjoy working for Werder Bremen and I look forward to continuing to work very constructively with my fellow managing directors and the Supervisory Board to achieve the best for Werder Bremen."
