Eintracht Frankfurt's 11 Bundesliga match unbeaten run after Bayern win
Eintracht Frankfurt won its first and only German football championship title in 1959 - four years before the Bundesliga came into effect.
With the 2-1 win over Bayern, Frankfurt are on an 11-match unbeaten streak that has seen them grab a league-high 29 points from a possible 33, scoring 29 goals in the process. The loss of four points being owed to two draws against Borussia Monchengladbach (3-3) & SC Freiburg (2-2).
It is the club’s longest unbeaten streak in the league in recent memory. Additionally, Frankfurt have scored atleast once in their last eleven matches – equalling a club record set back in 1977, 44 years ago.
The club stand only next to Bayern Munich as the league’s top scorers with 45 goals, with the Bavarian s having found the net 62 times – having played 22 matches this season.
