Thomas Delaney says his future at Borussia Dortmund could depend on the plans of Marco Rose, who will be taking over as coach at Signal Iduna Park this summer.

The 29-year-old is under contract with BVB until 2022 and has confirmed to Danish football news site Bold.dk that he is yet to open talks with the club over a new deal ahead of Rose's arrival.

"But I'm sure the club are weighing the situation, and the same goes for me. We will be getting a new coach this summer, and he could influence my plans. If he wants to move in a certain direction, I'll have to take it into consideration," Delaney told Bold.dk and added:

"I'll just have to wait and see in this regard.

"It has been up and down for me at Dortmund since I arrived here. At times, I've played many intense games, and at other times I haven't played as much.

"I might not have played much lately, but it's not the first time I've experienced something like this. Therefore, I'm actually quite satisfied, apart from the fact that we haven't performed the way we wanted to as a team."

Delaney has made 25 appearances for Dortmund this season, notching up a goal and five assists.

The Danish international joined BVB from Werder Bremen in 2018.
