Dortmund visit Manchester to face Pep Guardiola’s high flying team at the Etihad Stadium, in what is poised to be a thrilling encounter between the two.

Ahead of Die Schwarzengleben’s visit, Guardiola’s heaped praise on the visitor’s main goal scoring threat in Haaland.

“To score that number of goals at his age is not easy. He’s 20 years old and the numbers speak for themselves. It’s because he can score with the right, the left, via counterattacks, in the box. He’s a fantastic striker, everyone knows it,” said the former Bayern Munich tactician.

Earlier in the week, Guardiola was asked if City will pounce upon the opportunity to lure Haaland in order to replace the outgoing Sergio Aguero.

Pep was unclear on the club’s stance, saying: “The only thing I can say is that he is an exceptional striker. With his age, he is an exceptional striker. He’s a fantastic player – that’s all.”

The Norwegian sensation has scored a remarkable 10 goals in just 6 matches in the Champions League this season, scoring one goal every 53 minutes with a shot accuracy of 73%. He has also assisted once in the process.

Manchester City have won 26 of their last 27 matches and will look to stamp their mark on the continental stage
