Prolific PAOK forward talent on Mönchengladbach's transfer radar
Reports from Germany indicate Borussia Mönchengladbach being relatively active in the summer transfer market, with another potential transfer having been identified by the German club.
Christos Tzolis. |
Christos Tzolis, the 19-year-old Greek forward, who is versatile enough to operate as a winger and support striker, is now on Gladbach’s shortlist.
With a transfer market value of €10m, according to transfermarkt, the PAOK Thessaloniki attacker will be an affordable long term prospect for Die Borussen.
He is under contract with PAOK until June 2024.
The No.11 is one of Greece’s most talented youngsters and is also being tracked by Club Brugge & Manchester United.
Gladbach previously showed interest in the player earlier in March, along with their Borussia counterparts, Dortmund.
However, Dortmund are said to be out of the race for Tzolis after identifying Bayern Munich target Noni Madueke as a possible replacement for Jadon Sancho, who may well see the exit door this summer.
Tzolis has already made his debut for the Greece national team last year, when he was just 18-years-old. This season in the country’s top tier, he has made a remarkable contribution of 26 goals (16 goals & 10 assists) in 44 appearances across all competitions
