An era at Bayern München is coming to an end. After spending a total of 25 years at the Bavarian club, assistant coach Hermann Gerland will be leaving at the end of this season.

According to Kicker, Gerland will follow fellow assistant coach Miroslav Klose and head coach Hansi Flick out the exit door at Allianz Arena.

Per the report, new Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann sees no place for the 66-year-old in his coaching team.

Gerland is understood to be ready for a new challenge at a different club despite his advanced age.
