Report: Hertha aim to lure Frankfurt winger

Serbian left winger Filip Kostic experienced a fruitful season in the Bundesliga in 2020/21, going on to make 30 competition appearances and registering 4 goals and 17 assists in the process – one of the highest in the league.

The Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder has been tracked by Inter Milan in recent weeks and now, a Bundesliga suitor has emerged in the form of Hertha BSC for the Serbian’s signature.

According to reports from Germany, he is growing into a major target for the capital club to reinforce their attacking options.

He is currently on a deal with the Hesse-based club until 2023 and a move to lower-ranked Hertha would prove to be a downgrade as per league standings, although the club have been bolstered with an injection of funds through Lars Windhorst’s new investments.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Mitchell Weiser and KAA Gent’s Niklas Dorsch have already been identified by the club as potential signings.

Kostic is worth around the €30m mark and will undoubtedly be a powerful attacking presence in Pal Dardai’s team.
