Speaking to Sportbuzzer, German Football Association (DFB) spokesman Jens Grittner confirmed that Gnabry was given a rest.
Klostermann, on other hand, has picked up a thigh injury and is highly doubtful for the upcoming game.
Meanwhile, the Portugal clash will probably come too soon for Jonas Hofmann, who trained individually today, but Leon Goretzka is expected to come back into the squad after recovering from a muscle injury.
Both Hofmann and Goretzka missed out as Germany lost 1-0 to France in their Euro 2020 opener two days ago.
