Germany came from behind to beat Portugal 4-2 in their second Euro 2020 group stage game.

Both teams named unchanged line-ups for the game at Allianz Arena in Munich, which saw Germany begin on the front foot.

Robin Gosens had the ball in the net after just six minutes, but the goal was ruled out after Serge Gnabry was adjudged to be offside in the build-up.

Then, against the run of play, Portugal took the lead, hitting Germany on the counter. Bernardo Silva picked out Diogo Jota in the area, and he slid the ball across goal for Cristiano Ronaldo – who else – to put Portugal ahead.

With 35 minutes played, Germany got the leveller thanks to a Portuguese boot. Robin Gosens sent a low cross for Kai Havertz that Ruben Dias ended up putting into his own net.

Joachim Löw's troops went on to grab the lead four minutes later after another own goal as Raphael Guerreiro diverted the ball into his own goal after a cutback from Joshua Kimmich.

Germany picked up where they left off after the break, making it 3-1 five minutes into the second half through Kai Havertz, who tapped home after a low cross from Gosens.

Gosens then got on the scoresheet himself just around the hour mark, heading in a cross from Joshua Kimmich.

Diogo Jota pulled one back in the 66th minute, tapping in at the back post after a free kick, but his goal wasn't enough for Portugal as Germany held on to their 4-2 lead.

Thanks to their win, Germany climb to second place in Group F with three points, one point behind France. Portugal sit third, level on points with Germany, while Hungary are rock bottom with one point.
