The Czechs dump out the Dutch
The Czech Republic pulled off a huge scalp in the round of 16 as they walked into the Puskas Arena in Budapest and took the ticket to the EURO 2020 quarter-finals out of the grasp of the men in orange, as goals from Tomas Holes and Patrik Schick gave a very convincing 2-0 victory for the Czech Republic. The Dutch dominated the first half, but they weren't able to take their chances. Donyell Malen, who's been linked with a summer move to Borussia Dortmund, had a huge chance to give the Dutch the lead. But he tried to round Vaclik in goal and got it all wrong, and from there the game changed instantly. A slip by Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt led him to handle the ball, initially, a yellow card was awarded but after referee Sergey Karasev went to check the pitchside monitor the yellow was upgraded to red and De Ligt was off. In the 68th minute, Slavia Prague midfielder Tomas Holes nodded home into an empty net following a Czech Republic corner. The Czechs got their second after a breakaway counter lead by Holes was cut back to Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick, who bagged his 4th goal of these championships to seal the win. Wout Weghorst was brought on in the 73rd minute but made little-to-no impact on the game. The Czech Republic move on to Baku to play Denmark who beat Wales 4-0 in Amsterdam.

Borussia battle in Seville
It was a Borussia Dortmund battle in Seville as the 'BVBelgians' of Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard, and Thomas Meunier took on Raphael Guerreiro and his Portugal side. But it was the BVBelgians that won out thanks to a wonder goal from one of the Dortmund Red Devils in the form of Thorgan Hazard. A vicious strike from outside the area that had dip and swerve and completely bamboozled Rui Patricio in the Portugal goal. Portugal were not in the game for much of it, but piled on the pressure in the 2nd half and came close when Dortmund left-back Raphael Guerreiro had a strike that bounced off the far post. The pressure kept mounting on from Portugal and a very powerful header from Ruben Dias was directed straight at Courtois, whose reflexes allowed him to get his fists up and deflect the ball away from goal. Cristiano Ronaldo had the chance to become the greatest goalscorer in international football tonight but was largely ineffective, with the one chance he had coming from a free-kick which Courtois was equal to. Belgium's 'Golden Generation' move on to the quarter-finals where the mouthwatering ties continue, as they set up a quarter-final match-up with Italy in Munich.

Belgium Starting XI: (3-4-3)
