Report: Baku, Neuhaus and Wirtz on Bayern's shopping list

Sport Bild claims that Ridle Baku, Florian Neuhaus and Florian Wirtz are all on Bayern's shopping list.
Bayern München have targeted Ridle Baku, Florian Neuhaus and Florian Wirtz as they want to add more German players to their squad, according to Sport Bild.

Per the report, the German champions have already expressed interest in Baku with the hope that the 23-year-old could help fill the gap at the right-back position.

Bayern were already interested in signing Baku from Mainz a year ago, but hesitated too long, and the 23-year-old ultimately ended up joining Wolfsburg, where he has had great success.

Instead, Bayern brought in Bouna Sarr from Marseille for the right-back position, but the 29-year-old has fallen below expectations.

Florian Neuhaus is another name that has been linked with Bayern in the past. Gladbach have announced that the 24-year-old will stay for another year, after which he could leave the club via a €40 million release clause.

Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz is widely regarded as one of the brighest talents under the age of 20, and thus he has almost inevitably been targeted by Bayern.

The 18-year-old signed a long-term deal through 2026 back in May, but could see himself playing for Bayern in the future, according to Sport Bild's report, which claims he has a release clause of an unknown amount that will become active in 2023.
