Omar Mascarell leaves Schalke 04
Omar Mascarell has signed for Elche after being released by Schalke 04.

"Ultimately, for Omar, similarly to Matija Nastasic and other players who have contracts with a certain financial package, he does not have a future in the 2. Bundesliga," said Schalke sporting director Rouven Schröder.
"Despite this difficult situation, Omar has acted very professionally over the past few weeks and supported the team to the best of his ability. We wish Omar all the best for his future, both on and off the pitch."
The 28-year-old central midfielder had one year left on his contract with Schalke. He has now signed for Elche in Spain.
