Could Pavlovic's Euros be in danger? Tuchel gives brief injury update on Germany midfielder

Thomas Tuchel gave a brief injury update on Aleksandar Pavlovic after the midfielder was forced off in Bayern's loss to Hoffenheim.

Less than four weeks before Germany kick off Euro 2024 on home soil, Aleksandar Pavlovic injured his ankle in Bayern Munich's 4-2 loss to Hoffenheim.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who was called up by Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann, will not be hoping that the injury won't put his chance of representing his country at Euro 2024 in jeopardy.

"It is an ankle injury," Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel told reporters after the game.

"Aleks twisted his ankle and will be examined in Munich to see if it's anything more serious," added Tuchel, who was reluctant to make any predictions about whether the injury would affect Pavlovic's chances of playing in the Euros.

Pavlovic was called up to Germany's national team for the first time in March, but missed friendlies against France and the Netherlands due to tonsilitis.
