Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the departure of Philipp Max.

The 30-year-old left-back joins Greek side Panathinaikos on a permanent basis.

“In his one and a half years at Eintracht, Philipp has shown himself to be a team player and has been an important part of the team during that time,” said Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche.

“We have granted him his wish to take on a new challenge where he hopes to get more playing time. We wish Philipp all the best in Greece!”

Max scored once and provided five assists in 42 matches for Eintracht Frankfurt.
