Toppmöller gives update on Götze and Koch ahead of Plzen match

Mario Götze has been ruled out of Eintracht Frankfurt's Europa League clash with Viktoria Plzen. Robin Koch is a big doubt.

Dino Toppmöller has given an update on his squad, including Mario Götze and Robin Koch, one day ahead of his team's Europa League clash with Viktoria Plzen.

Despite returning to training after an illness, Mario Götze will not be involved in the match.

"He trained for the first time today, but he won't be in the squad tomorrow," Toppmöller said at the pre-match press conference.

Meanwhile, there's a “big question mark” over Robin Koch, who missed the last training session with a hip problem.

"We'll see tomorrow if he can play or not," Toppmöller said.

If Koch is ruled out, Aurele Amenda or Nmamdi Collins could start in his place.

There's also the possibility of moving Arthur Theate to the centre-back position, with Niels Nkounkou starting at left-back.

"Those are the three options we have," said the Frankfurt coach.
