It has recently been reported that Hamburger SV are hoping to keep Tottenham loanee Luka Vušković beyond the end of the season.

However, the Bundesliga club will have to remain patient when it comes to the 18-year-old’s future.

“We will decide after the World Cup what comes next, what is best for me,” Vušković told Sport Bild.

HSV do not hold a purchase option for Vušković, meaning Tottenham remain in full control of the situation.

The 18-year-old Croatia international’s father, Danijel Vušković, has previously suggested that staying at HSV is a possibility.

As he pointed out, remaining in Hamburg would give Luka the chance to play alongside his older brother, Mario Vušković, who is currently suspended until November due to a doping ban.

“A lot is written about Luka. More than anything, he wants to stay at Hamburger SV to play alongside Mario,” Danijel Vušković told Croatian outlet Sportske Novosti last month.
