Trapp to return to the Eintracht goal against Bayern?

With Kevin Trapp back in training, the veteran could return in goal for Eintracht Frankfurt against Bayern Munich at the expense of Kaua Santos.

Kaua Santos played a key role in Eintracht Frankfurt's 3-1 win over Besiktas on Thursday, making a number of great stops throughout the game, including a penalty save.

Although the 21-year-old was subsequently praised by the Eintracht bosses, it seems only a matter of time before he finds himself on the bench.

Eintracht's first-choice goalkeeper and captain, Kevin Trapp, is back in training after an injury and is close to making his return.

The big question seems to be whether Trapp is ready to make his return against Bayern Munich this Sunday or if Kaua Santos gets one more game between the sticks.

"[Trapp] has been training all week and will have another intensive session," said Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller after Thursday's win.

“It's an important decision because he's taking on responsibility. ‘Trappo’ is our captain and our number one.”
