Austria boss comments on speculation linking Rangnick with Bayern
Peter Schöttel, sporting director of the Austrian Football Association, has commented on speculation linking Ralf Rangnick with the Bayern Munich job.
According to reports, Austria coach Ralf Rangnick has emerged as the favorite to replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich coach at the end of the season.
However, the sporting director of the Austrian Football Association, Peter Schöttel, insists that there haven't been any inquiries about the 65-year-old.
"Ralf Rangnick has a valid contract," Schöttel told Sky Deutschland, adding:
"The ÖFB has not received any requests. The focus is on EURO 2024."
Rangnick's contract as Austria coach runs until 2026.
