According to Abendzeitung reporter Maximilian Koch, Bayern’s supervisory board will take a hardline approach to the new negotiations with Joshua Kimmich.

The Bavarians will not offer a pay rise or signing fee when both parties try to resolve their contract issues.

Max Eberl is now expected to reach a new agreement with Kimmich on reduced terms.

However, it remains to be seen if the midfielder will agree to such a deal where he loses out.

The decision appears to coincide with Kimmich’s hesitancy to pen a lucrative new deal which was offered to the player months ago.

At 30 years of age, the Bavarian giants seem content to play hardball with Kimmich and perhaps set a precedent for future negotiations with others.
